Today Sir Michael Caine is 81 years old. Happy Birthday. Interestingly, for me anyway, just before my Mum passed away she was awarded an MBE. We plotted up to Buckingham Palace to get the award and the same day, Michael Caine became Sir Michael. He signed the little brochure you are given and the fact that on such an auspicious occasion for himself, he took the time to sign my Mum’s brochure. Top man. So, to celebrate here are just a few of my favourite Michael Caine films with a few clips, trailers and superb photographs,

Sir Michael

Born Maurice Micklewhite  he changed his name by selecting a new one from The Caine Mutiny (1954) on the advice of his agent.

Harry Brown - 2009

From Harry Palmer to Harry Brown. One of the greatest actors of this or any generation. I could have selected another dozen great films to include. Anyone who has this amount of “classics” in their locker must be a bloody good actor.

Happy Birthday Sir Michael.
